Monday Oklahoma was hit by a major tornado and thousands of lives were affected. I can't even imagine what it would be like to loose everything I owned in a matter of just a couple minutes. I know I didn't loose anything this week but we had a tragedy of our own; our washer broke and maintenance took a week to fix it! I washed some clothes in the tub it got so bad. So currently I am in the middle of doing 5 loads of laundry at once :/

The Today Show filmed at Universal yesterday as a part of their "Great American Adventure." All of the hosts were here and I just missed them. By the time I got to work they were breaking down all the barriers and winding up power cords.

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Roll-Ups

As soon as I saw this recepie online and knew that I had all the ingreedents to make it (minus one thing) I decided to give it a try. Everything was very easy and straight forward when following the directions. I did not have butter so I put coconut oil on top and then the cinnamon. They came out good that way but I think if I had drentched them in butter it would have came out much better and looked just like the picture. So next time I have butter I will be re-doing this recipie.

Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese

Cut the crust off the bread and flatten it out

Spread the mix on to the flat bread

Roll up and add butter (in my case coconut oil) and sprinkle with cinnamon

Bake at 350 for 20 min

Ryan was in Daytona all weekend watching his brother so I went over Friday night and we spent the afternoon at the beach Saturday. It was nice to get out of the apartment for a day and a half, that change of scenery got me through the week.

Also, during the week I personalized my computer at work with a fancy new desktop background and if you watch How I Met Your Mother we finally got to see what the mom looks like!

Diagon Alley

“Scheduled to open in 2014, the world’s first centrally themed, multi-park experience expands The Wizarding World of Harry Potter across both Universal Orlando theme parks and allows Universal’s creative team to bring an unparalleled vision to this unique project,” a statement said. “The new area will bring to life some of the experiences and places found in and around London in the Harry Potter books and films, offering brand-new adventures for fans and theme park guests from around the world.”

I can't wait for the new area in the park!

DIY wire jewelry

I've been back on Pinterest a lot lately getting some new DIY ideas and I found out that wire jewelry is really easy to make. I started by making a "mrs" necklace but that was a fail. I think I need smaller needle nose pliers, so that will be saved for a rainy day.

Anyway, the first ring that looks like a rose is my favorite and it took no longer than a minute to make! I have a gold one that I bought a long time ago that looks just like it but I don't wear gold often so I thought I'd start with a new silver! The heart ring could use some practice on smoothing out the shape but it was my first attempt so I'll take it.

Lastly, the infinity bracelet turned out really good. My wrists are very small and I only have a few bracelets so it's nice to add another one to my collection.

Last Friday Ryan and I saw the Blue Man with my aunt and cousin who were in town and we got to meet a blue man after the show *The main blue man went to Countryside High School!

I wonder how many people take a picture of this archway every day before they enter the park

This hairspray is great because it doesn't leave my hair crunchy after spraying a lot,  I think it was worth the investment of $1. haha

Goodwill findings

I love to find a good deal when I'm shopping. I rarely buy clothes and shoes unless they are on sale or pretty cheap. I'm not ashamed to say I shop at Goodwill. Why pay full price for something when you can get it for more than 90% off and it's still in good shape.

While at Goodwill I found somethings that should not have even been for sale. I think the store should really have thrown these things out, but I guess they think someone will buy them. I mean who doesn't have a digital camera? Who keeps binders of paper (unless your a business person.) Lastly, who wears platform work shoes from the 90's anymore?

I remember using all of these things, but that was over 8 years ago. Times have changed Goodwill, I think it's OK if these items made it to the trash. Ryan and I did have a pretty successful trip though. Some of our biggest findings were a pair of ballet flats from the Loft for me and Banana Republic shorts for him.

Not sure the last time I used one of these

Oh the infamous trapper keeper
